Crystal Community Library

The Crystal Community Library located at 101 N. Main St, Crystal, MI is a branch of the Carson City Public Library located at 102 W. Main St, Carson City, MI. The Carson City Public Library is a Michigan Class III public library serving a population of 10,857. Our service area includes the City of Carson City and the following eight townships:                                                               

Montcalm County - Bloomer, Bushnell, Crystal, and Ferris    

Gratiot County - Fulton, New Haven, and North Shade            

Ionia County – North Plains

We are a member of the Lakeland Library Cooperative and participate in interlibrary loan and reciprocal borrowing with the other Lakeland member libraries.

 Our mission is to provide services and materials that will assist people of all ages in their search for information, knowledge, and reading enjoyment.

 Our patrons enjoy access to educational and entertaining books including downloadable e-books, audio books including downloadable audio books, videos, magazines, newspapers, and Internet access including wireless.

People use the public access PC workstations at the Crystal Community Library and the Carson City Public Library for data processing software and educational children’s software, to search for jobs, submit resumes & job applications, study, research, take tests and more, all online.

People come to our libraries to read, study, discuss literature, research genealogy, and to attend educational & culturally oriented programs for children and adults. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff look forward to serving you at the Crystal Community and the Carson City Public Libraries!

As a branch of the Carson City Public Library, the Crystal Community Library is governed by the Carson City Public Library Board of Trustees which meets regularly on the second Tuesday of January, March, May, July, September and November.
